How it began

During a brief conversation, Bram Bos, Director of General Manager of EBC Glasvezeltechniek B.V. told us more about the requirements and implementation of the management system and the steps already made using ISO2HANDLE software.

What did EBC Fiberglass Engineering run into?

• Access via cell phone or other mobile devices
• No overview within the organization
• Multiple software packages required
• Financial system
• Capturing a lot of information

Bram indicated that there was a need within the organization to put all financial documentation into one system. Since there was no suitable management system, Bram started with a benchmark and went through the possibilities of different management systems. In addition to the desires for an all-in-one solution is the future perspective. That the system will offer the possibility to grow with the organization when scaling up is needed or to connect other systems in the future via an API link.

• Which fields are visible to everyone, and which are not?
• What does our dashboard look like?
• What workflows will be automated?

Plan of action

Together with Jan-Kees, Bram discussed the possibilities and wishes. What is needed now and what are the plans for the future? Because of their background in mechanical engineering they speak the same language and Jan-Kees was able to translate the wishes into a system to start with. In addition, Marc made an environment available and trained EBC employees to be able to build a management system with all the necessary equipment themselves.

This ultimately resulted in EBC now building a management system that matches its needs and vision.

Results

The upgrade of ISO2HANDLE has made it possible for EBC to move forward with a software package. But we are not there yet! With the knowledge we have gained, we have diligently started building the system so that it can start working for us. I expect questions and comments to follow, but I fear nothing. In fact, I can always reach out with my questions and be helped to explore possibilities.

De combinatie van communicatie, transparantie en mogelijkheden met de software gaf de doorslag. Zowel Jan-Kees als Marc begrepen de wensen van Bram op het gebied van infrastructuur en de vereisten binnen zijn branche. Waar moeten formulieren aan voldoen? Dat maakte niet uit, zo flexibel mocht ik het laten inrichten én dat is precies wat ik nodig heb binnen de organisatie. ISO2HANDLE blijft ontwikkelen én als gebruiker mag ik daar ook een rol in spelen, kortom een goede basis voor de toekomst.
